What an unforgettable night at Rogers Place! A sold-out crowd gathered to experience Tootoo on the big screen, and the energy in the room was electric.
Now that we've had some time to reflect, it’s clear just how special the evening truly was. With Jordin Tootoo and his family in attendance, the atmosphere was nothing short of magical. Despite Jordin never having played for Edmonton, the crowd of 700 packed the venue, showing incredible support. The night was emotional, powerful, and deeply inspiring, especially as Jordin shared his personal story, reminding us all of the importance of mental health and suicide awareness.
This event simply would not have been possible without the extraordinary support from two key contributors: the Bouchier family and Dena Barabash at Details Designs Inc. David and Nicole Bouchier, your generosity and commitment to both Jordin and this documentary have been nothing short of incredible. We are beyond thankful for everything you’ve done to help make this night a reality for the Edmonton community.
A HUGE thank you also goes out to Dena Barabash and the amazing team at Details Designs Inc. Your hard work, dedication, and support behind the scenes were absolutely crucial in bringing this event to life. Without you and the Bouchiers, this incredible night would not have been possible.
A big thank you to the Oilers Entertainment Group as well, for providing us with such an incredible venue. Rogers Place was the perfect backdrop for this special evening, and your support helped make this event one to remember.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to announce plans for a red carpet event in Rankin Inlet early next year, followed by another in Nashville, where Jordin began his NHL career. Tootoo will also be available worldwide this spring on Super Channel in Canada and on all major TVOD platforms in the U.S. by spring/summer.
We are deeply grateful for all the interest and support. We can't wait to share this incredible film with the world!
Kind regards,
